JATET（公益社団法人劇場演出空間技術協会）は、芸術と技術の繋ぎ手として“演出空間”の更なる発展を支えます。 舞台芸術をはじめとする“演出空間”の表現活動は、 建築・機構・照明・音響・映像・舞台美術など近代設備との有機的な結合のなかで生み出されます。 近年、“演出空間”には、これまで以上に効果的な技術の向上、安全基準の確立、 施設の合理的な運営、人的基盤の整備等が必要になってきています。 公益社団法人劇場演出空間技術協会は、こうした時代の要請に応えるために、 関連する広い分野の法人、専門家を会員として設立された組織です。 旧社団法人劇場演出空間技術協会に対する主務官庁であった経済産業省と新公益社団法人劇場演出空間技術協会に対する行政庁である内閣府のご指導のもと国内外の関連機関との交流を図りながら、国際的な視野に立って、 芸術と調和の取れた劇場演出空間の総合的な技術の向上を目指し、わが国の文化、経済活動の発展に寄与していきます。
