1993年湘南にてブランド誕生。日本各地のハードコアサーファーや、ハワイ・カリフォルニアのサーファーに支えられ、その当時唯 一の日本発サーフアパレルとして地位を確立する。ブランドネームの由来は、スラングで“カッコイイ奴（キレた奴）”を意味する“ＧＯＮＺＯ”から。デザインは、シンプルの中にも時代のエッセンス・遊び心を散りめたものを提案し、日本人をいかにスタイリッシュに見せるかをとことんこだわる。タイトすぎず、ルーズすぎない微妙な形を表現 できるアパレルを目指している。サーフトランクスはデザイン性だけを追わず、アパレルブランドが手がける唯一の“道具”として位置づけ、素材・カットにこだわり持って企画をしている。独自の世界観・大和エッセンスを軸に今後も日本を代表するサーフパレルとして提案し続けるＢＲＡＮＤでありたいと思っています。
