慈濟醫院總入口網站。 花蓮慈濟醫學中心 | 玉里慈濟醫院 | 關山慈濟醫院 | 大林慈濟醫院 | 臺北慈濟醫院 | 臺中慈濟醫院 累積十餘年救貧經驗，證嚴上人體會「因病而貧」，懷抱悲心繼慈善志業之後，再度挑起重擔，發願為缺乏醫療設施的台灣東部民眾籌建醫院，以病人為中心，推向「人本醫療、尊重生命」的願景，提昇東部醫療水平。 以延續佛教慈悲精神為立基，1979年發起建院，籌建歷程百轉千折、倍嘗艱辛，終在「福田一方邀天下善士，心蓮萬蕊造慈濟世界」之號召下，匯聚愛心力量，共成建院善舉。1986年8月，佛教慈濟醫院矗立於花蓮，開啟「守護生命守護愛」之慈濟醫療志業新里程。 創院後，本著濟助貧病之建院理想，取消住院「保證金」制度，引起社會醫界廣泛漣漪。未久，獲得衛生署重視與肯定，通告全台醫療單位取消保證金制度，是為嘉惠病患之一大福音。 啟業同步推動「醫療志工」制度，是醫護同仁最佳良伴，亦是病患與家屬心情之依託，醫護與志工團隊相伴，做到全程、全人、全家、全隊之「四全」照顧。從來醫界追尋之「身、心、靈...
